Medical isotopes are not uranium.

Uranium is not dangerous in and of itself. Iran had just 400kg of enriched uranium, the concern was that they were getting to the point they could highly enrich it in a matter of months. As mentioned before, they didn’t have highly enriched uranium, we prevented them from getting it. Also Chernobyl has (as in all the other reactors are still operating today) an active nuclear reaction, which is basically containing a low yield nuclear bomb and harnessing its energy, yes, if you shoot that and cause a runaway event you’d see traces of that. It’s like saying, your grill doesn’t run on coal, if it were why doesn’t this cold chunk of coal burn me, while you’re standing next to a hot grill cooking your food, you absolute moron.

First of all, they didn’t have highly radioactive materials YET. That’s why the Israeli/US alliance bombed the crap out of them, so they wouldn’t get there.

Second, you don’t just pick up and move these centrifuges. They are like semiconductor and other precision machines, you assemble them once, on site, and then they need power, care and feeding, they can’t withstand shaking them, they need highly technical people (scientists) to run them. The few scientists they had are dead, Russia pulled their nuclear experts out of the country weeks ago, Israel had already cut the power potentially damaging the machines.

Not sure why you would get nuclear fallout, they hadn’t been assembled into bombs YET, even nuclear bombs can be bomb, lost, damaged and would not cause any fallout.

People are way too scared and misinformed about what nuclear material is and its dangers.

Not sure what backwater hole you get your news from, but Israel has sent agents on site and verified the nuclear facilities were completely destroyed. Iran says the same thing. IAEA says the same thing. Satellite imagery says the same thing.

Apparently ‘someone’ leaked a “top secret” report to CNN that claimed the opposite, just hours after the explosions. Although CNN does not mention any sources other than a vague agency, doesn’t show the report, who signed off on it. Just a ‘trust me bro’.

A lot of theories are based on mathematical models, the mathematical models of the universe are mostly true, as recently discovered ‘missing mass’ was just very diffused, a model I heard about 14 years ago, finally proven true by observation.

The problems on both ends are when you are approaching zero on one end or infinity on the other, you get weird properties (division by zero). That doesn’t mean the models are broken, just that the noise in the signal we have form what is observed is driving predictions to the point of absurdity.

Imagine a picture and you keep on zooming, that is basically what we’re doing with the models of the early universe, at some point you just get nothing useful besides a general color (perhaps an average or a spike) until you get more detailed pictures, and then you repeat.

Wtf are you guys blabbing about. The cease fire was announced with a 24h wind down which Iran symbolically sent a few duds at the last minute to pretend to their people they are in control, the US has said that Israel was permitted to take out a few more rocket launch sites, they literally said so at the announcing of the cease fire this would happen. This is all paper tiger saber rattling, but both sides accepted the cease fire.

Even CNN had to admit the cease fire is holding. The US won, Israel won, Iran lost. They’ll claim it as a victory because they didn’t get completely obliterated.

The fact you guys can’t admit taking out a major global threat of thermonuclear war is a win is just pathetic. Trump showed he was decisive, unlike Biden, he scoped the attack to what was necessary, the move to take out the nuclear sites was brilliant, just as he had promised.

The nuclear sites are gone, not just damaged, completely buried. They sent 12 30 ton bombs into the ventilation shafts. Like the Death Star Iran had literally built their bunkers with a hole leading directly to its core and our precision guided bunker busters hit those entry points the size of a quarter from thousands of feet in the air. Iran has no more centrifuges, they are very sensitive equipment, they don’t survive even the sudden power outages Israel already caused, getting the site blasted with 12 bombs that can penetrate up to 200ft each, sorry leftists, there is nothing remaining.

Remember the US can track the movement of any fissile material with satellites, even if Iran somehow got their hands on another centrifuge (uranium isn’t hard to find, so that’s not important) we demonstrated we can launch missiles from a submarine in the Mediterranean or we can launch bunker busters from Missouri and hit a target within inches, thousands of miles away in Iran.

“Illegally” I do not think you know what that means. Trump announced what he was going to do. He did it despite plenty people here in this thread predicting he would not, he ended the nuclear threat, despite plenty of people here in this thread making prophecies about how Iran would prevail as some biblical beast that opposes the West.

However even before the US ended the Iranian ayatollah’s regional reign, Europe was already starting discussions about a post-theocratic Iran. The last 48 hours, Iran’s political structure is collapsing, women are now openly, in the streets of Tehran, not wearing their hijab and cutting their hair short. Tomorrow multiple nations will start officially discussing the transition and potential future with the government-in-exile of Iran.

Now that the smoke has cleared and the sun has risen, the mountain where their nuclear program was hidden is no more. Like you can see it from space that the thing is gone.

And you know this all started, not with Trump, not with Biden, not with Obama or Bush. This started with Jimmy Carter, who let the current regime in Iran take over and run roughshod over the US, because he didn’t like that he would have to threaten someone. They don’t play in the structure of communist idealism like the Democrats in the west are permitted to do. People don’t think “like us” they don’t care about their lives or their children “like us”, this has been true of virtually every other non-Western culture, multi-culturalism does not exist, they don’t believe in the sanctity of life or the individual.

@SB: there are various legends around the year 1000AD of mass conversions and subsequent “great disappointments”. The pope himself performed on New Year’s eve 999AD midnight mass in silence, supposedly several in the crowd died of fright as the bells struck at midnight. Written history in that period of the dark ages however is highly unreliable.

My personal favorites are 1666AD (Great London Fire and start of the plague), again, many believed in those portents. Or Christopher Columbus who supposedly convinced the Spanish crown to continue financing expeditions of what he thought was the West Indies by playing on their expectations of the supposed end of the millennium and a final crusade to Jerusalem through what we now know as South America.

Again, history is rife with starts and ends of the supposed millenniums, counting from or to various starts and ends. The question is why your counting is accurate and not the literal thousands of others.

As a result of the NYS wage hike, there was over 20% (from 4% to 24%) of reduction in employment amongst 19-26yo.

Few JW leader have children

it’s been discussed before that few jw leaders, past and present, have had children.

this is in contrast with other groups, such as the mormons, whose leaders have had a lot of children.

i wonder if this has impacted jw growth.

Morris has 2 children - https://www.jw.org/en/library/magazines/w20150515/remembering-first-love-for-jehovah/ - but they were not disfellowshipped as ChatGPT claims. At the time of Morris' removal, they both had high ranking 'jobs' (one was the US branch overseer or something like that) at WTBTS, so there was some speculation back then, right now both of them seem to still officially live at a WTBTS address.

Not sure what happened to them since, I would assume the WTBTS doesn't want to 'shake' that tree too much.

David H. Splane doesn't have any kids. It's pretty easy to find out - Born in 1944, started pioneering in September 1963 (20yo). A graduate of the 42nd class of Gilead (1966, 22yo), he served as a missionary in Senegal, Africa (1966-?), then for 19 years in the circuit work in Canada (?-1990). Then he has been at Bethel. So none of those positions would've allowed for 'children'.

The rest you can find similar reference, they self-publicize enough self-aggrandizing life stories. Even the lesser known ones, eg Jacob Rumph, The 132nd class of Gilead means 2012 he was between 21-40 years old, at least 2 years married, and had no children at that point, by 2023 he was a GB member, that's only 10 years, so he can't have raised children even if he 'dropped out' after graduating at that point.

Now, whether some of them have some 'illegitimate' children could be an issue of contention, but I'm fairly sure they 'screen' for some of those 'undesired' attributes.
